Fooling myself

Going through uni now was an eye opener and the obvious difference in the education system here … In Singapore everything was handed to me even in poly … all course notes were supplementary… here they tell u wat are the resources and u look for the books … if u are rich enough then u buy the text … if not … u do wat I do … go to the library the day b4 and borrow the book for max 3 days and do all the studying and tutorials u can… in poly u have the TSO’s to help u with stuff like wats in the industry and wat is needed of u … here u have to look for the companies and like my lecturer says ... knock on a few doors … from wat I’ve heard … the industry is very welcoming coz were uni students and coz we’re not competitors… so that’s a good thing … basically here every thing is EXPECTED of u … u are a professional already … and this is just a course … I tried to inculcate the habits of yr 1 …note taking and all that … but here since u are expected to know… note are hard to take as the lecturer moves at a glance pace… then I start to ask myself… do I have wat it takes??? to not just go through but excel in this field … coz here there’s no try … its do or do not … and then … tell them y… I am so grateful for the opportunity given to me… Just hope I don’t fuck up … coz wat if the best I did was just not good enough … in the future … the lives of many will be in my hands …
